The Introductory Music Program follows the principles of learning and development
in early
childhood. In a weekly one-hour program (classes for 3 year-olds are 45 minutes),
your child will actively experience and learn the basic elements of music
through songs, rhymes,
singing games, creative movement and
instrumentation. The elements
include beat, rhythm,
dynamics, tempo, pitch,
phrasing and form.
Five-year
old children
also begin to learn how to read
and represent
rhythm patterns
and are initiated into solfège.
